Shikamaru nodded his head, willing to do this. "Alright, I'll probably dissassemble and see what kind of weapons this thing has other then the usual shuriken and kunai with explosive tags. After all, if we know, then it won't be much of a surprise if we have to fight puppets next time." Shikamaru told the hokage. He himself, wasn't all that fond of studying and such, but disassembling and learning how the flesh puppet could use ninjutsu, that was something he was pretty interested in.

She nodded. "Some day you will become a great Jounin Shikamaru."She said and slowly walked away.

Ino shook herself, literally trying to regain her usual cool, composure. "Yes, I'm okay... I was just shocked a little." She offered a smile to Shikamaru and even offered to help him with the heavy puppets to his house. The Nara's lived close by (as well as the Akimichi's, since their fathers were more than just drinking buddies).
"I'll help if you want!" Ino added enthusiastically- she definately didn't like being caught off guard by anything, and if it meant knowing the mind of a puppetmaster, she'd definately help.
"Some day you will become a great Jounin Shikamaru."
Ino laughed, but not unkindly and slapped him on the back. "Eh, who would have thought you of all people want to get in the Hokage's good books? Wasn't Naruto the one who shouted 'Hokage! Hokage!' all the time?"
But she did look like she was proud he was her teammate. She'd stopped sighing less and scorning her teammates ever since she saw them in the first Chuunin exams and how hard they fought. She stopped wishing for Uchiha Sasuke to be her teammate and was pretty darn pleased when Shikamaru out of all the other candidates, like Neji and Sasuke to boot-- got Chuunin status first.
She tried to lug one on her back and shook her head as she looked at the heavy puppets. "We need to seal them in a scroll... we can't possibly carry them all the way to your house."

Shikamaru looked at Ino, then chuckled slightly and shrugging his shoulders. He was only slightly flattered by Tsunade's response, but then again, with or without that comment, he would've been ready to do this for his village anyways. "Yeah, yeah. Let's just get to work. Here I got a scroll." He told Ino, taking a empty scroll out.

Ino nodded and her fingers hurriedly flashed into the signs to seal the puppets into the scrolls. She'd never realised how useless it could be if they wanted to seal the great amount of food Chouji needed. She'd make sure to bring it up later.
"Okay," Ino grinned, rolling the scroll and handing it to Shikamaru, as he had a lot more pockets on his person than she did (but that didn't mean she was weaponless, oh no, a Kunoichi was never without a weapon).
"Here you go, and are you going to disassemble them now or later?" she asked, a hand on her hip as she awaited his response. Her foot tapped. "And is Chouji on a mission or something, or do you know where he is?"

Shikamaru took the scroll with a nod. He was interested in getting to work on the flesh puppet first, right away. The chuunin felt that he'd learn a lot more about Heishiro then. He then glanced over at Ino when she asked about the puppets, then sighed softly. "Now, probably." He told her. Then once she asked about Chouji, it made him begin to wonder as well. The akamichi hasn't been around much lately, but then again, neither has the father.
"I think Chouji AND his dad are gone, at least for a bit." Shikamaru told her. He was pretty sure about that, though didn't make any guaranteed answers.
