She was sulking again. It seemed that this was all that Eriko Ozaki had been doing as of the late. Her brother had gone off on some mission and as always Eri found these made her feel ill-at-ease and figured she would continue worrying and chewing up her nails until he returned to the village. On top of that training had not gone so well today for the dark-skinned kunoichi. She had fallen into the water while attempting to walk across a makeshift bridge (made out of a piece of wood) and the irritating ringing refused to leave the perturbed genin’s ears since.
Stupid feet you’re suppose to stick to the wood and prevent me from falling don’t you know anything? she thought as she angrily removed her sandal and glared at her toes as they wiggled in the fresh air. “Bah you guys are just worthless yeah? I have to do all the work jeez.” Eri sighed and glanced up at the sky, it was a nice day kind of and the slight breeze felt nice again her defiant feet. “Why won’t you just obey me hm?” Of course the only response she received was a short twitch of her big toe. “Too afraid to face me? I see how it is, you two are just mad because I walk all over you everyday, and that’s why you mess me up all the time. This is revenge. I see your game.” Eriko scowled and blew a rebellious strand of silver hair out of her eyes.
((Ok so it's a bit weird...^^;; sorry it just came out i'm not quite sure what happened...))

Hebi was pissed; this day was terrible. He hadn't managed to get any training done, and he hadn'r killed anything in quite some time; Hebi was in a foul mood. The snake-demon was boiling inside of him as they both tramped about the lonely streets of Kumo, it was most likely a /good/ thing that no one was around, for the boy gave off the air of a very deadly being. He probably would have killed them if they came within a few feet of him at that moment. He was fuming angrily, so angry, he kicked a stone, since his chakra was projected from his skin (he glowed a faint green) the stone went further than he expected; further adding to his already foul mood. The snake in his pocket had wisely kept asleep through his ordeal, but Hachibi hadn't, the demon snake hissed and snarled inside the confines of the small mortal body that held him captive. He raged, Hebi also raged, a pin drop would have brought Hebi out to three tails at that given moment; that's how angry the genin was.
He looked about suddenly, magenta eyes locked on a seemingly 'bored' frame, wiggiling her toes like some student. He snarled, purple hair dashed about his face as he looked at her, sitting therhe so innocently. He walked over to her, nearning the waters edge he bent over and lay his hand near the surface of the water. His faintly glowing green hand came a few inches to the water's surface and it steamed. He narrowed his eyes and looked up at the female. Her stupid flaunting ways. He hated her, he hated this village. One word and Kumo would be gone. That bytch, The Hokage of Konoha had put him in an extremly bad mood; and it wasn't likely to change soon. Let me come out then, Hebi, I can take our ravenge against her and we can destroy Konoha! Good thinking Hachibi one problem. What's that small one? The Nine-tails, Kyuubi lives there. the demon was evidently thinking for he had nothing else to say at that moment.[/sup]

The girl sighed once more and quickly replaced her sandal to stop communication with her disloyal feet. Eriko glanced suspiciously at the approaching boy, after all he didn’t look too familiar, and there was no way she would be able to forget those eyes. Well that’s not very nice of me; thinking that way. I should be ashamed. The girl quickly shook away her thoughts and put on a (hopefully) friendly smile.
“Ah your hair is so pretty!” Eri said completely disregarding the boy glare. The oblivious kunoichi moved closer to the boy completely unaware of his anger. Eriko poked the water curiously and glanced towards snake boy, giving him a (what-the-hell-was-that) look. Never seen that jutsu before… he must be really strong to do something so cool, she thought nervously.

He looked at her a moment, his maroon eyes widened for a mere second, then narrowed back into the bad-temper scowl he'd had them in. The boy frowned slightly and igrnored her comment about his hair. He didn't give a nuts what she thought or wanted. Hebi did as Hebi wanted; that was his only rule. He looked at her a moment, the expression in her eyes was not one of anger or hate, or even fear. What was that curious expression in her eyes as she started at him so... so... innocently? He saw her twitch and his anger was brought down, looking at the female, his temper cooled, not because she was a girl, not because she was weaker than him and pocessed no threat, but because she was being herself; she hadn't screamed and run from him when she saw him; he didn't even think she recognized him.
He looked at her, his eyes bewildered, having never been treated this way before, for the first time in his life; Hebi stuttered as he tried to talk to her. Keisei snorted and slithered around his body, he stroked his snake's twining coils to ease her mixed emotion; the snake glared at the female and twined loosely around Hebi's neck. Hebi looked at the female, he gulped a slight bit; he had killed innocents before, but they had never been this brave; to stand (or sit) there and look at him as if he was a potential friend they could make. Hebi had never had any friends before; this was quite unusal and put him on the edge. He looked at her a moment, then blurted out softly, "My name is Akki Hebi, what's yours?" He blushed slightly; feeling the fool for acting so immature.

Eriko glanced down towards her feet once more after noticing the boy’s frown. Good job Eri you made him mad. What did you do? She shook her head slightly disappointed in herself. Eriko looked up towards Hebi again and eyed the snake wearily. Ew. Snake. Neck. Not good not good…but then again he doesn’t seem bothered by it and it must mean he’s good with animals and that’s usually a really good thing because if you’re good with animals animals don’t attack you. Eri’s mind once again got of track and the former discomfort towards snake boy’s pet was forgotten
“Ozaki Eriko pleased to meet you!” The girl bowed her head slightly (as much as one could while sitting down) trying to be polite and non-offensive.

He watched her, she didn't show any signs of hatred once she'd heard his name. Had she not heard the story of him? Most likely not if this was how she acted, but Hebi would never know. He looked at her, puzzled over her change of moods. Keisei clung around his neck, he stroked the whtie viper with two fingers, "Keisei," He said by way of introduction of the snake, "That's her name." He fumbled for more words to say, but he appeared to have run out, he also couldn't summon the anger on this girl. He cursed silently and looked at his snake who was moving down his body and into his pants pocket. He helped her move that way because he wanted too. He looked at the female, so, her name was Ozaki Eriko? It was an interesting name.
He smiled slightly, "What are you doung her Eriko-chan?" He asked softly, his tongue felt like lead in his mouth as he sought the ability to speak without stuttering over his words.

“Keisei-chan is your…pet?” Eri glanced nervously at the retreating snake. She could relax a little now that she knew the snake wouldn’t harm the boy. Even though he had shown seeming great power earlier, the kunoichi wasn’t quite sure he was strong enough to fight off a large snake. “That’s pretty cool I guess, my dad wouldn’t even let me have a cat let alone a giant reptile.” A boisterous laugh escaped the small girl’s mouth at her own stupid joke.
Eriko blushed slightly at the informal suffix added to her name. “I was training," she nodded shyly as if agreeing with herself, “cause’ I’m a ninja believe it or not.” Eriko grinned and readjusted her cloud forehead protector. The girl was quite proud of herself for managing to graduate from the Academy. “What about you Akki-kun?”
((ooc: Oi that sucked badly -_-;; sorry. O.o Eri sure is chatty this post…))

Hebi looked at her, he stroked the snake as her tail finally entered his pokect fully at last. Hebi nodded his head, "Well, she's more like my friend." He gave a whistful and secret smile, "All reptiles are my friends, especially snakes." He looked almost sad as he said that. He drew his knees and hugged his arms around them, his magenta eyes, normally holding anger and hate, were for once, filled with saddness. How many people had seen him and ignored him? He could have smelled the fear on them. He shivered unknowingly and burried his face in his knees. He had closed his eyes as he listened to her speak. She was so calm. So cheerful, why? He knew she'd hate him if he told her who and what he was. He turned his head to look at her and gave a ghost of a smile, his face contorting into the unfamiliar position.
He thought about her question for a long time. His face has turned to gaze at the water. He was only thirteen and they expected him to bear the weight of all this?? He almost cried, but he hadn't cried since he and Hachibi had destroyed his old village. He spoke softly, "Me?" he asked, turning his empty magenta eyes on her for a moment, then seeming to gaze passed her. He wouldn't tell her; not yet. Not when he was so close to having a... a.. friend. "I'm here as a ninja student..." He sighed softly, "My village was destroyed." He paused, wondering how much he should say, then added, "By a monster."

Eriko peered at the snake as it slivered into the boy’s pocket and shivered as the mood seemed to turn less and less cheerful by the second. She shot a questioning glance at Hebi; the boy seemed to be getting smaller and smaller, drawing further into himself. Eri tried to smile reassuringly; she knew the feeling, feeling like you just wanted to disappear or wishing the ground would just open up and swallow you whole. Boy do I know the feeling, she thought bitterly. Unknowingly Eriko copied his motions, resting her chin and arms on her bare knees. All thought escaped the girl as she stared at the sparkling river pointedly until she heard his comment about his village being destroyed. So that was why…
Eriko felt her throat tighten and the familiar sensation of choked up tears reached her. The short girl turned to him completely forgetting her previous sadness. She fully intended to try and comfort the upset genin and to act like the mother she denied ever having. A million words flew threw the girl’s mind, “I shouldn’t have asked’s” and “I’m so sorry’s” but nothing escaped the kunoichi’s stunned mouth before she reached out to hug the jinchuriki. She couldn’t even imagine what it would be like to have Kumogakure destroyed and by a demon that had to be much worse than any human attack.

Hebi had been drawn into his own memories. He had closed his eyes a while ago, he'd been drawn inwards, towards the sound of comfort and safety; to the sound of snakes hissing and coils slowly draggin along the floor. In the cavern where he now stood, he glanced up at the beast who lived in him. Hebi frowned slightly, his eyes watered, "Why?" He asked softly, not knowing tha he'd spoke these words aloud with his real mouth. "Why did they do this to me?" He asked, his hands seeking the warm coils of the snake. He found them and held them to his chest, almost crying as he just held the coils. Hebi-kun, the snake addressed him. He looked up at the eight-tailed snake. The voice had never bothered him. And it never would. The snake was beautiful to him and him alone. He was his. He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand and looked at the snake, "Hai?" he asked, still speaking aloud, They were the ones who did this to you, all you did was take revenge on them, for what they did to you. I only helped. The snake commented softly to the boy.
Hebi nodded his head, he felt a sudden warmth encase him. Something he'd never felt before, he cried harder, "Why did they do that to me? How could they do that to me!?" He muttered softly, leaning his scaled hide against that of his demon-partner. The snake curled a cold coil around the boy of the child, Because they wanted something strong. They did not care for you. Hachibi told him. "Hai, that's why I had to do it." He muttered softly, still aloud. The snake nodded his head and flicked out his tongue. Allow me to take you back to that day, my Hebi-kun, and you will remember why you destroyed it...
**Flash back** (Please note: Everything he says is what he says aloud, out of his real mouth)
He sat all alone. He'd been removed from the warm side of his mother, a small child of only five or so, and placed in this cold... dark room. A room where sounds were amplified and your own breath was a toll of death. This was the place that Hebi last remember. He'd been cring, wondering why he was here and where his mother was, he wanted his mother so badly! He'd screamed for her for the first hour or so, wailing and pounding his small fists on the walls and floor until time seemed to have stopped. He'd been laying there, crying his small heart out with sorrow and anger. He wanted his mother still, "Mother..." He said softly, his voice almost unheared, "Mother, where are you?" He whispered again, his voice faint...
Then there was pain.
He screamed and writhed on the ground in pain, curling up into a protective ball that offered no protection in the least. He'd screamed and called out various names. He felt stretched and clawed at his body. The last thing he remembered, aside from the untold amounts of pain, was a very small needle prick, and then... all was black.
He could remember haing up, but couldn't remember how he got there. He shook his head slightly, finding an adder curled around hisneck really didn't seem to surprise him in the least. In fact, he welcomed the snake. He felt prickly however, a voice called to him, Hello little one, my name is Hachibi. The boy stared dully at the floor, "Oh. 'Lo Hachibi-san, pleased to meet you... I'm afraid, I can't see you." There was a soft chuckle, not a deep, angry chuckle, but a light and pleasant one. One that warmed Hebi's heart. Look inside of yourself my boy. Hebi did so, "Oh, you're a snake, but... why are you so big? Why do you have so many tails?" He asked, his voice soft and childish. The chuckle returned, Hebi smiled and giggled slightly, I am a Biju Hebi. The voice said. Hebi nodded his head, "Oh, I get it, a Biju... but... Hachibi-kun, I don't understand, why are you in my body?"
The voice only laughed and then fell silent. The snake said only one more thing before it dispapeared, They did it, my Hebi-kun, destroy them. Hebi waved to the snake and nodded his head, "Okay! I'll do so!" He said in am almost cheerful voice.
Then Hebi fainted dead away.

“Akki-kun I’m so sorry.” Eriko clutched Hebi tighter as he began to chatter nonsensically. She had no idea what he was talking about or to whom. All she knew was that she wasn’t hearing or seeing what he obviously was. “I don’t understand…” she muttered softly and closed her eyes tightly. Was he insane? What was all this stuff about biju? And who was Hachibi? Who did something to him? Eri could have sworn she had heard that name somewhere.
The girl slowly loosened the embrace to stare confused at the snake boy. What the hell is going on in his head? she questioned herself as the boy continued to talk to someone unknown. Eriko's eyes widened slightly as she watched Hebi pass out.
((Oi that was weak *cries* So Hebi is saying what he says in the flashback aswell right? I wasn't sure if he wasn't tell me and i'll change it. And I wasn't sure if The demons were common knowledge so...yeah...)) Edit: Added the faint though it's terrible.

ooc: Yeah, she can hear him when he speaks in the flashback. Now.. I must think of a return post. Oi, Hebi-kun fainted, I forgot to say that wasn't a flashback. That was real. Hebi-kun fainted from his emotions. Edit: ^__^ I'll post back now. It's short... I know... >_>;;
bic: He'd passed out of all feeling and sound. He was in bliss. His eyes closed for a few moments before he opened them to find that he was in the arms of another. He jerked back, trying to jerk himself out of this strange hold. He brought his arms up and pushed out, his eyes darted like a wild animal. He hissed at her slightly, eyes narrowed before he noticed who it was. After that, all attempts at trying to hurt her stopped dead-away. "Eriko-chan!" He said in stunned amazment. What had happened? He couldn't remember! What had he said!? He couldn't remember

Shock was written all over Eriko’s face as she watched as Hebi jerked suddenly out of her nervous arms. A chill crossed over her as Hebi hissed at her, looking into those cold eyes a little fearfully. “Hebi-kun?” She asked softly wondering if he was actually there before relief flowed over her. Eri moved away from him slightly trying to give the boy some space to breath, after all he didn’t seem to want her that close to him. “Sorry I forgot my manners. Please forgive me.” Eriko placed her hand over her heart trying to calm it’s fast beating.
"What was all that?" She wondered out loud.

He looked at her, his eyes widened with shock. Oh no! What had he just done!? He felt a blush creep acrossed his face as he looked at her, "Eriko-chan..." He said, tears filled his eyes suddenly. He'd done it again! He'd driven off a person who only wanted to help him! He uttered a strangled sob and turned and raced away.
